What is NFRC?
NFRC (National Fenestration Rating Council) is an independent system for evaluating and labelling the quality and energy efficiency of window elements as well as doors, skylights and curtain walls.
In the USA, NFRC certification is an industry standard and thus an important factor for the successful sale of building elements.
The NFRC marking requires the product to be evalulated for U-value, solar heat gain coefficient, visible transmittance; and that the product‘s insulating glass is certified to ASTM 2190 for seal durability.
