Laboratory Wind Load & Tightness

The laboratory for wind load & tightness is the reliable partner for licensers and manufacturers of windows, doors, gates, facades as well as wall connections when it comes to carrying out individual, system or object tests at the Rosenheim site or on the company's own test rigs directly on site.

The aim is the prompt and flexible processing of test orders with competent support of the tests by our operating testing officers. ift Rosenheim is a globally active service company. Therefore, the operating testing officers of the laboratory for wind load & tightness are also internationally active.

Performances of Laboratory for Wind Load & Tightness

  • Tests of air permeability, watertightness and wind load (dynamic/static) according to European, but also international standards and regulations, such as ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials), AAMA (American Architectural Manufacturers Association) or CWCT (Centre for Window and Cladding Technology)

  • Mechanical tests such as operating forces, resistance to repeated opening and closing, reveal test and rebate hindrance test, impact resistance, racking, torsion, structural movement regime

  • Special audits such as flood-resistant, testing of glass roofs or "in-roof mounted" solar modules/collectors

  • Tests according to various ift-Guidelines such as FE-06, FE-13, MO-01, LU-01, VR-08 etc.

All advantages at a glance

Coordination and procedure of usability tests from a single source - in one laboratory (RAL, ift-Zert etc.) and in the immediate vicinity of other laboratories (leakage, acoustics and fire tests)

Customer acceptance tests of construction projects according to international standards (EN, ASTM etc.)

Carrying out tests in a fully covered and weather-independent ift laboratory
