Key to transparency as well as reliable and comparable results
Accreditation means the formal recognition of the technical and organizational competence of a body to perform certain procedures. ift Rosenheim has been accredited as an independent body for the test of construction products and building materials since 1988. The basis for this is the regular monitoring and assessment of ift Rosenheim by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS), Berlin.
International recognition of ift test evidences/ reports
Multilateral agreements of the DAkkS with accreditation authorities of other countries (signatory countries of the ILAC-MRA Agreement) guarantee the international accreditation of ift test evidences/reports by institutions, authorities and specifiers. In addition, ift Rosenheim supports its clients through bilateral cooperation with bodies in Germany and other countries to ensure the acceptance of ift test results. This reduces the effort and cost of multiple tests.
Client advantage through flexible accreditation - "ift does more than is listed"
Based on many years of experience as well as a reliable QM system, ift Rosenheim has been granted special authorisation by the DAkkS: "flexible accreditation" in categories I, II and III. This means that ift Rosenheim is not only allowed to issue accredited test evidences/reports for the standards listed in the accreditation certificate, but can also react to client's requests and changes in standardisation at short notice:
- Category III All testing methods listed in the certificate can be used in different editions.
- Category I This next highest category allows the free selection of standardized test methods or those equivalent to them (e.g. analogous national standards/guidelines such as ASTM, BS, AAMA, UL).
- Category II This highest level of competence allows the modification as well as further and new development of test methods.
The resulting "Accredited range of services of ift" for test methods is available for download. This current offer can be extended upon client's request.
