Our Drive
Since it was founded in 1966, ift Rosenheim has been concerned with the holistic approach to building components and designs. That is why we act according to the motto that high quality always goes hand in hand with good usability and sustainability. In doing so, we ensure that people and nature are protected from accidents and risks.
With our tests, certifications and other services, we promote the sustainable development of the construction industry in Germany, Europe and in cooperation with our partners worldwide. By participating in standardization committees, we contribute to the revision of normative sustainability and safety standards and thus improve living spaces. As a neutral body, we support our clients with our technical competence and thus ensure increased safety, comfort and sustainability of their construction products.
With the ift sustainability concept, we are now launching the systematic recording, planning and transformation of sustainability measures at ift Rosenheim in order to further advance these efforts.
"In the construction industry, we are helping to shape how people will live and work in the future. By anchoring sustainability goals in our corporate culture, ift Rosenheim actively contributes to environmental protection and social justice."Dr. Jochen Peichl, Chairman of Management Board
SDGs: Sustainable Development Goals
Sustainable action is not only concerned with climate protection, but also encompasses the three pillars of ecology, economy and social responsibility. The United Nations (UN ) has developed 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for this comprehensive approach in order to promote peace and prosperity as well as protect our planet.
The 17 goals therefore cover a very broad range of topics, which is why it is necessary to prioritize them on a company-specific basis. ift Rosenheim approach was based on the working materials of the Bavarian Environmental and Climate Pact. In several workshops, as well as an employee survey, five relevant goals were identified for which ift Rosenheim sees its greatest potential for influence. These five goals will be given greater focus without losing sight of the other goals.
The following goals were prioritized (in descending order according to the identified potential for influence):
- Goal 12: Sustainable Consumption and Production - Definition
- Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, Infrastructure - Definition
- Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy - Definition
- Goal 17: Partnerships to Achieve the Goals - Definition
- Goal 4: Quality Education - Definition
