Thus, ift Rosenheim is a recognized and authorized body to carry out the necessary tests, certifications and surveillance for marking with the conformity mark (Ü-mark) or CE mark.

Furthermore, the international cooperations guarantee a recognition of the ift Certificate of Conformity.

Services of ift Certification and Surveillance Body

ift Certificate

Documents the compliance of a product or service with a standard or an ift certification program. It is based on an initial test and regular monitoring/auditing, is limited in time and describes the assured quality and serviceability of products bearing the ift-certified mark.

Aimed at: manufacturers, licensees for passing on to building owners, planners, architects, authorities.

ift Product Passport

The document summarizes all proven performance characteristics of a product family according to product standard. It is valid as a report for the initial test (TT), is time-limited and is based on ift certification. It forms the most important part of the technical documentation required by the Construction Products Regulation and confirms the usability of the evidence in the context of CE marking.

Aimed at: manufacturers, licensees as a basis for CE marking.

ift System Passport

The document summarizes all proven performance characteristics of a product system (i.e. several product families) according to product standard. It is valid as a report for the initial test (TT), is time-limited and is based on ift certification. The system passport contains several product passports of a system in one document and forms an important part of the technical documentation required by the Construction Products Regulation. It thus confirms the usability of the evidence within the scope of CE marking.

Aimed at: manufacturers and licensers and, if applicable, to be passed on to licensees

Basic Procedure of a Product Certification by ift Rosenheim

  1. Conclusion of a certification and surveillance contract
  2. Determination of the scope of the product certification/certificate
  3. Evaluation of the test evidences and the product documentation
  4. If applicable, performance of any type test(s) that may still be required
  5. If applicable, preparation of the ift Product Passport/ift System Passport
  6. Initial visit
  7. In case of positive evaluation: Certification
