The ift Laboratory for Tightness & Wind Load is the reliable partner for system suppliers and manufacturers of windows, doors, gates and facades as well as mounting of components when it comes to single, system or object testing at the location in Rosenheim or on customers' in-house test-rigs directly at site. The goal is prompt and flexible execution of the testing assignments supported by competent guidance of the tests by our test engineers. As a globally active service provider, the test engineers of the Laboratory Tightness & Wind Load are deployed internationally as well.

 

Services

  • Testing of air permeability, watertightness and resistance against wind load (dynamic/static) according to European and also international standards and guidelines, e.g. ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials), AAMA (American Architectural Manufacturers Association) or CWCT (Centre for Window and Cladding Technology).

  • Mechanical tests such as operating forces, durability tests, rebate/reveal test, impact resistance, racking, torsion and floor ceiling distortions can be conducted

  • Special testing, e.g. resistance against flooding, testing of glass roofs or roof-mounted solar modules/collectors

  • Tests according to ift Guidelines such as FE-06, FE-13, MO-01, LU-01, VE-08 etc.
