Hardware is among the most important components on windows and doors. Without the correct hardware, the function and some performance characteristics as per EN 14351-1 are not guaranteed. The interaction between the hardware and other components is also crucial.
ift Rosenheim has launched the ift-certification scheme QM 364 to provide building element manufacturers with a good basis for the use of high-quality hardware. The testing and certification of hardware as per QM 364 provides the building element manufacturer with the basis for obtaining ift-certification at the level "Quality" or the RAL quality mark in accordance with RAL-GZ 695.
Products certified and monitored in accordance with this certification scheme meet the requirements of RAL-GZ 695 (Windows, Facades and Front Doors - RAL-GZ 695 Quality Assurance).
QM 364 has also created rules for the interchangeability of hardware based on EN 14351-1 Annex A.
