Bonding the glazing based on ETAG 002 is one of the most important steps in the manufacture of an SSG facade. An SSG facade is subject to certification as per ETAG 002; a European Technical Approval (ETA) serves as the basis for this. The facade manufacturer is responsible for this.
"Bonding points" are regarded as part of the production process. The facade manufacturer must ensure and document this production step as part of its certification.
The ift-certification scheme for the bonding of SSG facades gives the facade manufacturer the security of a privately certified and monitored execution of the bonding based on its ETA and ETAG 002.
