External door blanks form the skeleton of an external door, defining its character and performance characteristics. Without the right blank, the functions and some performance characteristics according to EN 14351-1 are not guaranteed. The interaction between the blank and other components is also crucial.
ift Rosenheim has launched the ift-certification scheme QM 344 to provide building element manufacturers with a good basis for the use of high-quality external door blanks. The testing and certification of external door blanks as per QM 344 also provides the building element manufacturer with the basis for obtaining ift-certification at the level “quality”.
QM 344 has also created rules for the interchangeability of external door blanks based on EN 14351-1 Annex A.
