Locks are one of the most important components on a door. Without the right lock, the functions and some performance characteristics according to EN 14351-1 are not given. The interaction between the lock and other components is also crucial.

In order to provide building element manufacturers with a good basis for the use of high-quality locks, ift Rosenheim has launched the ift certification scheme QM 342. The testing and certification of locks according to QM 342 also provides the building element manufacturer with the basis for obtaining ift certification at the quality level or the RAL quality mark according to RAL-GZ 695.

Products certified and monitored in accordance with this certification scheme meet the requirements of RAL-GZ 695 (Windows, Facades and Entrance Doors - Quality Assurance RAL-GZ 695) and RAL-GZ 716 (Plastic Window Profile Systems - Quality Assurance RAL-GZ 716).
