This certification scheme describes the ift certification and monitoring in the area not regulated by the building authorities for proof of conformity for sealants. The certified products may be labelled with the "ift-certified" mark.
EN 15651-2 as well as DIN EN 18545-2 serve as the basis for certification in this certification scheme, defining the requirements and the method for the certification of glazing sealants.
The introduction and use of the measures and tests described in the program ensure that the properties of the glazing sealants verified during the initial test are durable.
The requirements go beyond the specifications required in EN 15651-2 and thus illustrate a further quality characteristics. The quality of the sealants is documented with the "ift-certified" mark.
