Certification – Energy management DIN EN ISO 50001

Energy management certification has the primary goal of achieving continuous improvement in energy efficiency and energy savings in your company through the systematic evaluation of energy consumption, thereby reducing costs.

Energy consumptions and energy costs in the company become transparent and the possibilities for reducing energy consumption become visible.

With effective energy management, companies also make a significant contribution to the conservation of resources and climate protection.

All advantages at a glance

Tax refunds (e.g. compensation scheme according to Renewable Energy Act and peak balancing) and compliance with legal requirements EDL-G (Energiedienstleistungsgesetz - Energy Services Act) for non-SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises)

Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (CO2 footprint) as a contribution to conservation of resources and climate protection

Identification of energy-intensive processes and operating areas with potential for savings and security of energy supplies

Reduction of energy costs

Competitive advantages and image gain

Data basis for EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations)

Practical example

Medium-sized glass company with 113 employees; employer's contribution to pension insurance € 215,000; power consumption 3.6 GWh/p.a.; gas consumption 870 MWh/p.a. The company can save € 53,000 in electricity taxes and € 2,050 in energy tax from version 1 and 2.

All companies in the manufacturing sector can apply for up to three versions of the electricity and/or energy tax refund in parallel:

  • Version 1: Reduction of tax rates (§ 9b StromStG and § 54 EnergieStG).
  • Version 2: Peak balancing (§ 10 StromStG and § 55 EnergieStG)
