Product description

Schindler's sustainable, filigree wood-aluminium element façade is made from 75% recycled End-of-life aluminium profiles, which are connected to FSC/PEFC certified wood types. The connection between aluminum and wood is designed so efficiently that the resulting moment of inertia of the hybrid posts has identical values of a classic aluminum facade. The exhibit is equipped with transparent areas made of 3-pane insulating glazing as well as two innovative products installed in the area of opaque surfaces to which a product additionally acts as a shading element. These innovative products are on the one hand a BIPV panel consisting of a rear PCM and VIP and on the other hand a solar collector, which generates heat via heat pipe. The facade itself is tested in accordance with the product standard DIN EN 13830 as well as the CWCT and also has the proof of environmental compatibility by means of EPD.

Product benefits

  1. Significant improvement of the Global Warming Potential GWP due to minimal use of aluminum and maximum use of sustainably grown woods
  2. High quality standard, because due to the elemental construction, the wood-aluminum element facade is produced in the factory under constant conditions
  3. Due to the highly statically effective connection of the hybrid post, no larger construction depths are required compared to a classic aluminum facade
  4. Filigree internal wooden profiles as well as high weather resistance due to external aluminium profiles
