Recognised Authority PÜZ Body according to State Building Codes (LBO)

for the Ü mark in Germany

Nationally, ift is recognised as testing, surveillance and certification body "BAY 18" in building supervisory procedures according to the State Building Codes (LBO, Landesbauordnungen) as a precondition for marking products with the mark of conformity (Ü mark). ift has this approval issued by the Deutsche Institut für Bautechnik (DIBt) in Berlin, authorised by the Obersten Baubehörde (Supreme Building Authority) of the Bayerische Staatsministerium des Innern (Bavarian Ministry of Internal Affairs) in Munich, for the products and their components of our 'building' construction industry, in accordance with the Building Rules List. It is valid in all states of the Federal Republic of Germany, in accordance with the stipulations of the State Building Codes.

The construction products in question, according to the Building Rules List A , parts 1-3 and the building types according to part II a and V can be found in the notification of current certificates (pdf file).

All procedures related to the building authorities, for which ift has been approved, are available as pdf file.

 

According to the approval of DIBt, ift can be instructed from the manufacturers as

  • Testing body for awarding general test certificates issued by the building authorities
  • Testing body for the assessment of construction products before confirmation of the conformity
  • Certification body
  • Surveillance body for external surveillance
  • Surveillance body for the surveillance according to article 15, paragraph 6
