Scope according to EN 12433-1 (Chapter 1):

This European Standard specifies the terminology for doors, gates and barriers, intended for installation in areas in the reach of people, for which the main intended uses are giving safe access for goods and vehicles accompagnied by persans in industrial and commercial premises and in residential garages.
