Scope according to EN 12150-2 (Chapter 1):

This European Standard covers the evaluation of conformity and the factory production control of flat thermally toughened soda lime silicate safety glass for use in buildings.
 

Requirements according to EN 12150-2 (Chapter 4.3):

  • Fire resistance according to EN 13501-2
  • Reaction to fire according to EN 13501-1
  • Performance from external fire exposure according to EN 13501-5
  • Bullet resistance: Shatter properties and resistance against attack according to EN 1063
  • Explosion resistance: Performance and resistance at impingement of an explosion pressure wave according to EN 13541
  • Burglar resistance: Shatter properties and resistance against attack according to EN 356
  • Pendulum body impact resistance: Shatter properties (secure cracking) and resistance to impact according to EN 12600
  • Mechanical strength: Resistance to sudden temperature changes and temperature differentials according to EN 12150-1
  • Mechanical strength: Resistance to snow, wind, continuous load and/or further loads of glazings according to EN 12150-1
  • Acoustic performance - Direct airborne sound insulation according to EN 12758
  • Thermal properties according to EN 673
  • Solar properties: Light transmittance and light reflectance according to EN 410
  • Solar properties - solar energy properties according to EN 410
