ift-accreditation of testing competence
according to new DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 : 2018 (Flexible: I,II,III)
... to meet your test requirements with the highest quality.
Since July 2019, the test laboratories and the calibration laboratory at ift Rosenheim have successfully passed the adjustment of the QM system to the requirements of the new ISO / IEC 17025. With the confirmed flexible accreditation of categories 1, 2 and 3, depending on the test area, various standards and states of standards can be used flexibly or test standards can be modified and further developed.
Use our extensive accredited testing options.
As one of the first testing laboratories in Germany, ift Rosenheim has been accredited since 1988 - at that time according to the national DIN 45001; since 2002 according to the international standard "ISO/IEC 17025".
The accreditation according to EN ISO/IEC 17025 guarantees the international recognition of ift test evidences by institutions, authorities and tendering bodies. In addition, the ILAC-MRA agreement of many national accreditation authorities guarantees the mutual acceptance of the evidences in the signatory countries: LINK. We will be happy to provide you with further information. You can find examples of bilateral international recognition here.
The "flexible accreditation" achieved in the 3 competence levels (categories) brings special customer benefits. This enables the ift testing laboratory, for example, to apply new standard editions and to accept customer requests where the test method deviates from the standards listed in the accreditation or has to be newly developed.
Explanation of the term „flexible": *-characterization in the annex of the accreditation certificate vs. (Flex-Category)
* (= Cat.III) In this area, the laboratory is permitted − without prior approval of the DAkkS − to use the test methods listed in the certificate with different versions of the standards.
** (= Cat.I) This next higher category allows the laboratory − without prior approval of the DAkkS − to freely select standardized or equivalent test methods (e.g. analog national standards/guidelines (ASTM, BS, AAMA, UL)).
*** (= Cat.II) The highest verification of competence allows the laboratory – without prior approval of the DAkkS − to modify as well as to undertake advanced and new developments of test methods.
"CE marking" - only with accredited tests
Based on the accreditation, ift Rosenheim is designated as the notified body "NB 0757" and can offer the test services for CE marking:
- for “System 3 products” of the product standards and EADs listed in point 4 of the accreditation
- for other CE-relevant products, the required fire / sound insulation tests, which are listed in section 5 (product-independent "horizontal")
... and carry out these tests based on cooperation agreements outside of the ift laboratories - e.g. at the manufacturer.
