Field of application according to ISO 10140-2 (Chapter 1):
This part of the ISO 10140 specifies the method for measurement of the airborne sound insulation of construction products such as walls, ceilings, doors, windows, shutters and blinds, façade elements, facades, glazings, smaller technical building components, such as air permeability, ventilation panel, outside air inlet, ducts, weatherproofing systems at transitions and combinations, e.g. walls or ceilings with linings, suspended ceilings or floating floor.
Requirements according to ISO 10140-2 (Chapter 6):
In this segment, the general specifications for preparation, curing, assembly and fixings of the test component are described. Detailed descriptions for certain types of building components and products can be specified in related documents, e.g. test specifications are dealt with in ISO 10140-1
