Scope according to DIN 4102-1 (Chapter 1):

This standard specifies fire protection definitions, requirements, tests and labes for building material. As building material according to this standard count, inter alia, sheet and panel materials, composite materials, linings, insulating materials, coating work, tubes and shaped parts, decorations, curtains and fire retardants regardless of being refered to as building material according to the regional building codes.
 

Requirements according to DIN 4102-1 (Chapter 4, 5 and 6):

  • Furnace test
  • Inflammation
  • Test on burning waste
  • Determination with/without fire resistance test
